During the debate a question was asked of do black lives matter or do all lives matter. To my surprise many of the candidates said black lives matter. This surprised me but I agreed with many of their statements like making sure all African Americans are treated equality within our legal system so that we no longer have institutional racism or unfair justice system. Over the course of our biology class sophomore year I remember learning about how scud the racial diversity is in our jails. I believe that a big part of this could be cause by these African Americans not having positive family life as well growing up in bad neighbor hoods which makes them more prone to participating in criminal activity but I know that that's not the only reason, and that we still have racial inequality and racial stereotypes in our country that we still need to work to improve as a country.
They all talked about equality which confused me why they didn't say all lives matter and it made me think did they say that to a degree to just appeal to the american people because it sounds better. I believe all lives matter black, white, brown or what ever color you are and I agree with their points . I think its crazy though that this is even a question or that we are even seeing these signs saying black lives matter, or cops lives matter, Its outrageous, all lives matter. we should all have equally fair trials in quart, we should all be treated fairly.
